Arabic readers want poetry and cookbooks.

Along with the New Year will come a raft of new laws for 2014 and perhaps one of the most interesting is the one that calls for greater minority language representation at Sweden's libraries.

An Arabic auther tells stories in mother tongue to 40 children in the school-library

This is a feature from the local news before the International Children’s Book Week. During the week, authors from a number of countries will visit the schools of Västerås and meet children with a mother tongue other than Swedish. More than 40 children met in the gym hall of Trollbacksskolan yesterday to listen to stories in Arabic.
